Brushy Knoll (5023)

Description: The Brushy Knoll Trail #023 is 3.1 miles long. It begins at Road #108 (Dry Mesa) and ends at Forest Road #089 (Peavine Corridor). The trail heads out to a point overviewing the Peavine Corridor before dropping more steeply into Dark Canyon Wilderness and the Peavine Corridor.

This trail enters designated wilderness.

Trail conditions vary widely with weather events and during spring runoff. Check with the Monticello Ranger District for updated information.

Difficulty Level: Elevation Change is about 1300ft.

Usage: Light

Open to: Hiking, Horseback Riding. The last mile is in designated wilderness.

Water: There is no water available along this trail.

Directions: From Blanding, head south on US-191 S/S Main St. Turn right onto UT-95N and travel 30.2 miles. Turn right onto UT-275N/Natural Bridge and travel 0.7 miles. Take the 1st right onto Elk Mountain Road (Forest Road #088 Elk Ridge) and travel 7.9 miles. Sharp left onto Co Rd 256/Co Rd 268/Forest Road #108 (Dry Mesa) and travel 6.0 miles to Brushy Knoll Trail #023.
