Peekaboo Trail

10 miles (17.7km) round trip

There are 3 designated sites in Lost Canyon, or 4 at-large permits for the Salt/Horse Zone

Intermittent water may be available in the Salt Creek wash around the Peek-A-Boo vehicle camp, and also up the Lost Canyon wash.

A scenic, rugged hike, the Peek-A-Boo Trail follows the Squaw Canyon Trail from the campground, then crosses a slickrock bench into to Lost Canyon. From there, the trail contours around several beautiful slickrock bowls before dropping into Salt Creek Canyon. Two ladders, one of which is roughly fifteen feet high, as well as several steep, slickrock slopes and nearby high cliff edges make this an especially challenging trail.

This trail is strenuous in mid-summer due to lack of shade, and quickly becomes treacherous in wet and snowy conditions.
