Hop Creek Trail


DescriptionThe Hop Creek Trail #022 is 4.85 miles long. The west end of this trail is off of Forest Trail #164 (Vega Creek) and the east end at Forest Road #104 (Shay Ridge). This trail climbs from the east onto Shay Mesa where it follows Hop Creek on top of the mesa in juniper shrublands

DirectionsFrom Monticello, turn west onto 200 South and stay left at the Y onto Abajo Dr., continue on Harts Draw (Forest Road #049) approximately 12 miles.  Turn left onto Forest Road #100 (Indian Creek) and travel approximately 1.1 miles.  At Foy Lake (Spring Lake) turn north (right) onto Forest Road #104 (Shay Ridge) and travel approximately 5 miles

to Hop Creek Trail #022
